We have an ATL Superloader with 2 magazines which hold 8 tapes each. It is the LDP1 model. We use ARCserve 11.1. Up until this week, while I didn't have the backups completed the right way, at least I was getting them done. (i.e. have not figured out the sequential backup yet - that is the next step) ARCserve recognized all 16 tapes.
This week a tape got stuck in the DCA. This unit does not have an eject button so Quantum replaced the next day. Now I can't get ARCserve to recognize the 16 tapes. It recognizes a tape when it is in the drive only. When setting up the Superloader the first time, I had my server turned off. Then I started the server. The tape drive show up in Device Manager as working correctly. Using remote management on the Quantum, it says both magazines are online. I am at a loss on what to do next. I have worked on this for two days. This unit is backing up 180 GB and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that no one deletes a file while this is not working.
Thanks for any help.
