Hi all,
ATI Radeon 9550 AGP Video card 256DDR.

I just installed the above video card. I had an old video card in my comp. I downloaded the updated drivers from ATI.
When i try playing GTA or HALO, the video is bad:
- missing graphics that should be there (such as people, cars)
- graphics drags across the screen (streaks)
- freezes.

What is the problem here? Is the directx driver the problem? should I update that?

What is your OS?
Missing objects? Wow! Getting the latest directX is something to do for sure.
You may also need to get the patches from the games web sites. There's been patches for Halo. There are surelly some for GTA too. Check on these sites there are bug lists.
Here, Halo with Win98 and a Radeon9100 is a nightmare in one system here. With Win2KPro and a Radeon9600XT it works wonderfully.

W2K. as OS.
I did download the patch from GTA website....i'll give the directx a shot and see.
