Most times Advisor from and Aida32 are very accurate. You might also watch the monitor very carefully as you press the On switch, usually will see the display adapter type and memory at the top before the POST data starts. You won't see it using a warm boot [Ctrl+Alt+Del], but sometimes will by pressing the Reset button if the computer has one.

thankyou blujacket,
i used aida and belarc also and both gave the same message and i loaded drivers from 9000 radeon, but that has nothing to do with 64mb or 128 mb,i dont know why he is saying like that may be some times motherboard doesnt show full(i think)
is that true????

The bottom paragraph.

" MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9000 has three variants:
Discrete up to 128MB
On-chip 32MB DDR (64-bit)
On-chip 64MB DDR (128-bit) "

I am not sure what "discrete" memory is, but I am sure that this means it only has a max of 64 MB DDR, so, both of you could be right in a sense that it has 128 MB "discrete" ram and 64MB actual ram (?)

hi i again came back to the question which i asked a month back. i have run aida and belarc and both are showing it is 64 mb memory and i even went to cmd prompt and run ddiax( or something whcih shows all the things) and there also it is showing 64 mb,
can anybody tell me are there any settings to be done inorder that memory be 128. some body was telling that system is using 64mb and remaining 64mb it is showing is that true???
pl give advice?? for the settings..

Ignore the person telling you the system is using 64mb, thats rubbish! sorry.
GO: start, programs, Acessories, system tools, press system information, then press on tools at the top of the box and then DirectX Diagnostic tool, press display tab.
You should see card information displayed there under approx total memory.

If it says 64mb then I suggest that despite what your supplier has told you, you have got a 64mb card.

Also you should see the graphics card bios information displayed (for a 1-2 seconds) right at the beginning of system boot operation, before windows appears.
on that screen you will see the total megabytes your graphics card has installed.

Yes, I'm in agreement with paparazi. Under the Display tab in the DirectX tool, it will tell you the Approx. Total Memory. This reading should be accurate. Communicate this to the vendor who sold you the card and tell him where you're seeing this.

If you are still having doubts, try to collect any serial or model codes off the card itself. You might be able to search for it online to find the specs.
