Hi everybody and thank you for taking the time to look at my thread. I have a simple question. I have a dual PCI-EX mobo which is crossfire ready. I have 2 x ATI X1650 pro graphics cards. Can i set these 2 cards up in cross fire mode. And am i correct in thinking that it is a simple software set up from within the ATI catalyst center and no hard wiring needed between the two cards????

I forgot to say.... I believe one or both of the cards has to be crossfire certified, I know that applied to the earlier series of cards like yours.

I think that once you got to the x1x00 series they did away with the Crossfire edition card requirement.

But now that has me wondering if it's possible to enable the onboard x1250 graphics on my mainboard and use crossfire with my x1950 Pro.

I knew it was earlier cards but not sure of the cutoff point in the ATI series for one to be crossfire edition.
I think you are possibly right but would do a bit of research first.
