Has anyone out there used the ATI TV functionality provided by AiW 8500 within an IE browser (i.e. as the left pane)? My browser hangs if I click a link in the right pane window that opens another browser window (or if I force it to open a new browser window for a link by right clicking choosing open, etc.). (It works fine for all links that don't open new browsers.) Also, I have had trouble with some pages that have scripting on them.
I have called ATI tech support: they had me uninstall a bunch of drivers and then reinstall all the relevant ATI drivers as well as MS Direct X and drivers for my Via chipset. Still the problem remains. It ain't a show stopper (card really is fantastic), but I would like to know if others do or don't have this problem. And if any folks have any suggestions on what else I might check.
The details of my system:
HP Pavilion 754e, AMD XP 2400+, Windows XP Home Edition ver 5.1 Service Pack 1, IE 6.0.28..., 256MB RAM, disabled on-board video...
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping to get all kinks worked out of my video card before I add other software/hardware...
Thanks!
