Sorry Rhort, he did say best! and the ECS board is only a good budget bet and not a star performer.
At this moment in time the Via KT266A chipset boards rule! so for now it's the:
Abit KR7A-raid (quality but bare, no sound etc)good for OC
Soltek 75-DRV4(cheap) very cool purple PCB, good performance.
Gigabyte GA-7VTXE (cheap)
Soyo Dragon plus (top shelf with lots of goodies onboard)
Be aware that the NEW Via KT333 chipset is just being released, said to have extra features incl USB2, and ATA133 support, so you might want to wait. Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.
