Customer is using a fax machine for outgoing only and wants to avoid paying for another line so I used an ATA to grab a line from POOL-A

I placed an ATA on it and can not get it to pick up a line pool instead it keeps starting out with internal dial tone and then I have to dial 9 to get an outside line.

Since this is a fax machine I want to avoid making the client remember to dial 9 first. I can not seem to get the ATA to comply.

Any suggestions for programming?

Thanks!

Go to; Terminals & Sets
Show set;
go to prime line; make line pool A
go to Capabilities;
go to Hotline ;make Extrn ;enter Feature 78 (pause)
make sure to go to next
You shoule be able to go off hook and get externial dial tone without dialing 9.

Thank you. Will this take advantage of all 5 lines in this Line Pool-A group if some of the lines in this group are busy?

If the pause don't work then just change
Prime Line to Intercom
External dial to 9
