ATA to register om Call Manager 3.1

I have an ATA 186 with ver 2.12.1 build 030709a. I can not get it to register to my 3.1 CM ???? I followed the instruction but nothing. Is there a trick to this. Please help????

You need to upgrade your ata 186 image to the latest SCCP image. Use this link:

Oh, you need secure access to CCO area of Cisco to DL that.

I'm not sure if the ATA is supported on ccm 3.1. becausse when you go to -->device-->phone-->add phone there is no ATA you can select.

Prior to CallManager 3.2, the ATA was supported through emulating a 7960 line appearance.
