ATA + T7316 = 1 mail box

I have a new MICS 6.0 and StarTalk 4.0. The mechanic has an ATA with a loud bell and cordless phone for the garage because of the noise, (callers are given the ATA DN so he can hear it ring). He has a digital phone in the office for the message waiting light, it also rings with an Answer DN with the ATA DN. How can I get callers to the ATA that leave a message show "message for you" on the digital phone display?

CHANGE THE ATA TO BE ANSWER DN FOR HIS PHONE

Startalk 4.0?? Did you mean NAM 4.0.

If you do have a NAM then you can use the 'ALT DN:' function.

ex.
digital phone - ext 230
cordless - ext 240
Go into F983 - MBOX - CHNG - '230' - NEXT until 'ALT DN:' - input 240.

Make sure ext 240 is programmed to forward no answer to V Mail.

This setting makes both extensions assigned to the same mailbox.

I was finally able to return to this site today, as I have been busy with other projects. I programmed as you said lowradiation, and it works great. This is the first time that I have used the ALT DN, so this is good to know.
