I am trying to get into my ATA186, I can not click on the IP address in the CCM Admin page like I do with phones. I noticed on a couple of threads here that you can get some information by going to Is there a list of other things that could be acessed in a ATA? I am having a problem with a phone that is hanging off one and want to see how I would go about statusing the device and also upgrading to a recent firmware release.

You can't click on the IP addy from CCMAdmin for the ATA's; you have to copy and paste it/type it into another browswer window. So, depending on what version of the software you have (if you know what version you're on, please post it):

Pre 3.0 = Post 3.0 =
Which protocal do you use - SCCP/H.323/SIP/MGCP - for your ATA's? If you're using CCM and they're actually added in CCMAdmin as ATA's, it's more than likely SCCP, but please specify.

If it's SCCP, to upgrade the firmware, you simply download the load from CCO (latest is 3.2, I think), throw it into your TFTP server, update the device default for the ATA in CCMAdmin -- System -- Device Defaults, and then reset the ATA's. If it's one of the other protocols, I believe you have to use the TUI to upgrade it (not sure though, maybe someone else on here can provide better guidance re: the other ATA protocols).

Here's a link to the SCCP software admin guide, which includes upgrade procedures:

Here's a link to all the other protocol admin guides, in case you don't use SCCP:

Additionally, each image you download from CCO contains tools for troubleshooting the ATA. I know for SCCP, there's a neat tool called prserv.exe, which lets you trace active calls through a given ATA, as long as you set the NPrint field to the IP address of your PC (there's a readme file with the program).
