Does anyone have a simple step by step configuration guide for these? I have looked on the Cisco website but $%#$%#@ I can't ever find a simple answer on there.. we are in a DCHP environment, and the publisher if the TFTP server I have used the #80 via the IVR and the ATA has an IP address however no dial tone.
I guess what I'm looking for is just a cheat sheet for the IVR? #80(IP)and all the other #xxx commands..

Thanks in advance

also it says something about using the prserv.exe tool to troubleshoot ATA's. you may need a cco account to acquire this tool.

Thanks DOIT, I have this document however I'm not finding a simple list of the IVR commands I thought that after I configured this device as a phone in CCM 4.1 the ATA would pull it's config from the TFTP, but that doesn't seem to be the case, I'll look at the prserv.exe and see what it offers.

Thanks

I have just had a look at this on my CCM 4.1 test setup and it looks like unless the defaults have been changed manually (via the web interface) or the ATA has previously had access to a configuration file the locale settings etc should be pulled down from CCM.
By default the ATA looks for a file called "ataxxxxxxxxxxx.cfg" where 'xxxxxxxxxxxx' is the MAC address of the ATA, if that doesn't exist it attempts to locate 'atadefault.cfg'. This file should contain the defaults you want your ATA's take. I captured the boot up process and my ATA requested the file in the directory '/United_Kngdom/' as that is what the Locale is set to in CCM.
The firmware package for the ATA contains examples for this file (sk_example.txt). Edit this how you want the defaults to be on your ATA's and save it as 'atadefault.cfg' to the CCM TFTP path, depending on your locale settings it will need to go into a locale directory.

One default I changed was the TOS setting; the default is:

TOS:0x000068B8

This makes Voice Media use DSCP 46 and Voice Signalling use DSCP 26. I changed this so Signalling uses DSCP 24:

TOS:0x000060b8

Thank you very much, the ATA had come off another system, I found that file and have made the changes.. The first time I gave it the IP of my lab TFTP and the ATA received an IP off the production system... made me scratch my head for a bit... anyway it's up now.
Now I'm trying to configure the second analog port, I'm not seeing where it will let me add another line off that MAC?
any ideas?

Just a bit of an adendum.....

The file must be converted to binary after you have edited it.... There is an executable called 'cfgfmt.exe' included in the ATA firmware package. This must be used to convert the text file into binary before the ATA can understand it. I also noticed that you need to include in the first line of the text file '#txt', or the converter doesn't like it.

The second port uses a hash on the MAC address - for example if its MAC address is 000bbe3b9c69, the 1st port will register using it and the second will register using 0bbe3b9c6901.

I have just tested it by changing the TOS value to make sure the parameters are taken and they are ) (checked by browsing to
