AT8L lan toner by progressive

Has anyone used this new toner yet.Does it blink the switch, hub lights at the actual network equipment,or do they mean that the toner unit blinks telling you there is a connection at the closet side?

I have it. It actually does blink the hub/switch activity light with a slow steady pattern.

The company im on site for right now just switched from Cabletron switches to Cisco 6500.The Cabletron equipment has the port lights,as the Cisco does not....Hmmmm.In which case this would not work,I guess.Will this AT8L still work while being patched to the patch panels,or as the switch port is active?What im trying to do is identify several(unlabeled,mis-labeled,duplicated)cat5e drops within the building quickly,this tool seemed to do that.The cabling system here is Foil Twisted Pair Cat5e throughout,and is difficult to tone without unplugging some vital networked production devices.Thanks all.
