On a 406 V2 while attempting to default the security password using this AT command, the system responds with "Polling for S_REC image" I'm expecting a prompt asking for the MAC address of the system. I do get an "OK" after entering the AT command without any parameters. Thanks for any suggestions.

Reboot the ipo and open hyperterminal or any other terminal.
Type AT-SECURITYRESETALL straight away and nothing else before that.

If that does not work then try this

AT
a-debug

If you get response then reboot again because then it should work.

ACS IP Office or is it ACSS :)

Women and cats can do as they please and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea!

at-debug is I think what tlpeter wants to say on this.

What version is your IPO. This only works for 3.2+

@jamie77, that was the first question that i would ask but you were first.
I bet it is a version below 3.2 and there are no security settings to erase.

great minds and all that!!!!

Thanks for your responses. This 406V2 is @ 4.0.10. I've tried the AT-DEBUG and rebooted with the same result. I do have a config, so I could default the system, and reload it, but I assume the security settings will be re-applied.

The first time i tried to carry out this, I couldn't get it to work, because I was hitting the esc key - just like you should to carry out the AT-X erase of firmware and config.

You need to have the system running i.e. fully booted...

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

defaulting the system will NOT reset the security settings the security settings are also not backed up in the configuration so the only way to reset them is via the DTE port. Keep trying, best to go have a coffee and then come back

Thanks for your posts. I got this to work finally. After entering the "AT-SECURITYRESETALL" command mode and receiving the prompt "Polling for S_Rec Image" I then entered the string: "at+the mac address of the unit (didn't include the highest order octet from the mac address" which reset the security settings to default. Found it here: Thanks to the Russians.......Za zdorovie........

Now I am curious... Anyone have a full set of commands that will work via DTE? I looked at FAQ's and the links provided and do not see options available for AT.

Thanks

this shows the dte commands for recovering a unit.

the only other dte commands i know are these for wiping embedded mailboxes etc:
Connect with DTE lead as usual. (Normal Hyperterminal settings also)
AT enter
returns OK
Then AT-DEBUG
returns >hello
IVM-HELP
list of IVM commands eg
IVM-MSG-DEL-ALL ................ Delete all stored messages.
IVM-MBOX-DEL-ALL ................ Delete all mailboxes.

It might be a good idea to collate all the known commands into a new faq

Get well soon Aaron.

Lets get some other people involved here. I know there are other AT commands, Avaya had me use them in the past, but I never wrote them down of course.
Anyone have other entries that work with AT?
