have recently upgraded laptops, using an Agere modem and/or Conexant modem... both internal having trouble establishing connection to pbx core modem. Modems answer, but never complete handshake.. just hang there, have tried different baud rates, etc....
Core set at 9600 baud. Know pbx external US robotics modem works ok, can hit it with other laptop modems. Just thinking some internal AT command needed or modem setting otherwise that am missing with the new laptop.
Have already confirmed obvious settings for modems...or at least thought had. One laptop actually worked prior with same hardware, Agere modem. Hard drive died and aft replacing will not connect again. So thinking configuration setting on the laptop that am missing.
