OK, I'm getting ready to trash this system and buy a freakin' Dell. I'm running a PIII 450 (I know) with a P3BF mb and an ATI Radeon 64mb DDR video card. This system works well most of the time, but it hangs up when IE 5.5 is running (almost every time). I have tried everything I can think of, but I can't get it to stop. The only issue I've noticed that seems strange is that the IRQ assignments are strange -- for example, there are five devices assigned to IRQ 9, while there are quite a few open IRQs. I'm not sure if it is relavent or not. I have tried all of the Asus BIOS updates, and I'm currently using the 1007 Beta. Any help will be appreciated.

You could try to shut off advanced power management in the bios and then if need be re-assign the irq's yourself. Or maybe try IE6
