astpsdat file in arcserve 2000

Hello,

I was just wondering why our astpsdat.003 for eg is so big , almost 1gb and yet I have other versions of astpsdat files that are created recently but not as big. Should I be concern about this , ie having multiple astpsdat files ?
We are using arcserve 2000 on win 2003 server. WE are using dell pvt122 tape loader.

astpsdat is holding machines,volumes,folder & files for and it size depend on number of times your are doing the backup and number of files you are backing so compering it with other installation is not fair.

You should no consern about mutliple astpsdat as long as there are no errors in Activity Log is adddition you are doing a regular database maintenance by folloing the maintenance doc for VLDB from CA support site.
