Have a bunch of clients using a provider who uses Asterisk. Long story short is they are starting to not fulfill on the promises they say and I am
Now forced to move everyone.

What would be the easiest way of having full control over the system instead of going thru a provider.

Not quite sure what you're asking... but....

You can install a local Asterisk box for local control... but you would need connectivity to the outside world; i.e. a PRI, PSTN, or SIP trunks.
