Hello,

I have a serious problem with my asterisk server, sometimes its consuming 400 % of the CPU since I have 4 Cores ... Im trying to find what is the root cause of this issue with no luck.
I searched a lot for this problem and I found what the exact thread that consuming the CPU usage which is PBX_Thread ... I think this is the main one.

Check the below:

Thread 4 (Thread 0x40dda940 (LWP 5539)):
#0 0x00002ad3725f4ab6 in poll () from /lib64/libc.so.6
#1 0x0000000000470cd5 in ast_waitfor_nandfds ()
#2 0x0000000000477d5f in ast_safe_sleep_conditional ()
#3 0x00000000004e5b5d in wait_for_hangup ()
#4 0x00000000004fed18 in __ast_pbx_run ()
#5 0x0000000000500c0b in pbx_thread ()
#6 0x000000000053732c in dummy_start ()
#7 0x00002ad37326177d in start_thread () from /lib64/libpthread.so.0
#8 0x00002ad3725fd9ad in clone () from /lib64/libc.so.6

Any ideas guys?

Any wierd error messages in the CLI ? I've seen bad USB ports or NIC interfaces cause lots of error messages and that drive up CPU use. Did you look at the syslogd to see if any errors or the Asterisk log files during these peak cpu use times ?
