If you have the Scripting Runtime Library on your system (you most likely have if you have IE5 or later or Win98 or later - the file is scrrun.dll) you may be on the way, as apart from the useful FileSystemObject and TextStream object it also includes a Dictionary object.

The following is a quote from MS :

The Dictionary object is the equivalent of a PERL associative array. Items, which can be any form of data, are stored in the array. Each item is associated with a unique key. The key is used to retrieve an individual item and is usually a integer or a string, but can be anything except an array

Check out , and search for the FileSystemObject, Dictionary or scrrun.dll.

Hope it is of help.
