How would I go about associating Notes Mail with the File > Send To > Mail Recipient command? At the moment it is greyed out, presumably because Outlook is not installed and Word XP doesn't recognise Notes as the mail client.

Thanks

You need to activate that function from Lotus.

File->preferences->User preferences->Additional options-> select the option associated with Office 97.

If this option does not show then go to the registry, and on export the following tree.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
This tree should contain an entry for each office version programs you have installed.
For the above Lotus option to work you need to have ONLY 8.0.
So either delete the other options, or if you only have one, rename it to 8.0.

Going back to Lotus you should now see the Office 97 option. Activate it.

Once you have activate the Lotus bit, go to the registry and undo the changes you've done before if any.

And also make sure that
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\MAPIDLL
contains
DLL32 with a value of "D:\Apps\Lotus\Notes\nmailman.dll"

Note the 9.0 may be different for XP. The main thing is that Lotus requires a 8.0 to be present, and that the MAPIDLL entry must be present for the correct office version.
