associate file with executable ?

I have RedHat6.2 + KDE1.1.2
When i click on a PDF file the kghostview luch and diplay the file, many time
with file not
lissible.
i have instaled acroread (acrobat reader for Linux) but it seem not attached
to files with 'pdf' extention.

What to change to make the files with 'pdf' extention associated to acroread
by default
