Hi There!

We have Callpilot 5.0 and 20 fax licenses. How do I set up a user to get incoming faxes?

You need to take there DID number and place it in the IDC table, the out pulsed will be a bogus number that forwards to Call Pilot which contains the orginal and the bogus number. The forwarding is done by making the bogus number a Phantom forwarding to Call Pilot.

All of that has been done so far, and the call pilot answers, but does not recognize that there is a fax calling - as soon as it hears the far end fax it disconnects. The CP never gives a fax tone when answered, only the voice greeting even though it is set to ONE NUMBER DESKTOP FAX / VOICE.

Did you place both numbers in the mailbox

Here is what I have done:

Original DID dedicated for FAX ONLY is 8502
I translated 8502 in an IDC table to = 4201
I created a Phantom TN with FTR DCFW 4 8114 (8114 = One Number Desktop Fax/Voice)
In the CallPilot Mailbox I entered 8502 & 4201 and selected Desk top Fax/Voice

When I call the 8502 CallPilot answers but saying that I'm not available to leave a message - No fax tone.

did you check the box in the class of service for the mailbox? there is a spot that is called Keycoded Features, need to check fax capability.

is 4201 the regular call pilot access dn, or is it to a fax port? I just remembered I had to set up a new dn to call pilot special for faxing.

The Call Pilot One Number Desktop Voice/Fax DN is 8113
the DID of the user is 8502 that is translated in an IDC table to output 4201
