Hey Gang,

Using Exchange 5.5/SP4 with Outlook as my client, I've created a public folder, then added a second folder within the first. This second folder contains Task Items.

When I work with Tasks outside of Public Folders (ie, in my Mailbox), I can "Assign Tasks," emailing the Task to another user.

When I work with the Tasks inside Public Folders, however, this "Assign Tasks" feature is not there.

Our ultimate goal is to be able to have everyone viewing these Tasks, assigned by our VP.

Any clues?

Thanks, as usual . . . .

You will proberly have to design your own Task form and add in the assignto field and a bit of code so that an alert goes to the assigned person. A good reference for this would be a copy of Building Applications with Outlook 98. The helpdesk app in this book does something simular and it works with Exchange 5.5/Outlook2000

Hey Robert ... thanks for your input. I'll take a look at that book and see what we get.
