I have developed a program thru foxpro ( executable file .exe). My problem is i want to give rights to the data directory only thru the program. While starting the program it should assign the rights to the data folder.
When exiting, it should disable rights to the data folder.
How to change rights on fly for each user who logs on without being a ADMIN user thru the program.
This will prevent from unathorised tampering of the data folder thru foxpro, excel, etc.

I don't know if this will work or not, but a User needs Access Control rights on a directory in order to change rights. If you give this as default then your program gives RWCEMF access on login, it should work. You should then be able to remove RWCEMF access leaving the Access Control behind.

This is a long shot, dunno if it will work or not. If it does, then it will also mean that the users can change the rights manually if they know how to. -----------------------------------------------------
