we have a database with a primary key. we have block drawings with tags. our database columns headers match our tag names. ie ( column 1 goes to tag 1 and so on....) is there an easy way to open the drawing and read the database and assign them to the correct tags and print.

we use the insert command in a script to combine blocks, but is there a way we can also assign the tags at the same time?

In LISP and VB, you can "find" the tag you want and then assign the attribute value. With a script, you will not have that option. But you can assign values to attributes in the order that you are prompted for the values as the block is inserted. One caveat, if you redefine the block in any way, you will probably cause the order of the "prompting" to change and the script will only work for certain defined blocks.
