Assigning a Hot Key To a Text Field 1

as we can assign a hot key ( Alt+ Key ) to a Button.
can we assign such to a Text Field.

A hot-key on a button simulates the user clicking on the button and the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger fires. As you know, there is no hot-key property for a text item.

What would you expect a hot-key on a text field to do? Perhaps you could add a hidden button on the canvas whose hot-key and WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger could do what you want.
