Assign a task to a non-goldmine (outlook) user?

I use Goldmine for sales management. The corporation uses Exchange/Outlook and has tens of thousands of employees so they won't be installing any server side software for just me. Is there any way I can assign a task/call/etc to a non-Goldmine user (Outlook/Exchange) and track history back to the opportunity? I hate to have to use Microsoft BCM just to get this functionality....

Can't, really.. You could sync your calendar and contacts with Outlook, but it's YOUR calendar, not other people's.. Let me talk to the CEO and see if I can sell him on the idea of tens of thousands of GoldMine licenses.. well.. maybe not.. ;(

Unfortunately I belive the exchange link runs on the server side....not an option.
