I have chapters of a book saved seperately as their own files and collected together in a book palette. I would like to use the find command throughout the whole book so I can record page numbers as I make an index. Rather than trawl through each chapter seperately what would be the best way of assembling the whole thing together. I'm using quark 4.1 on a mac.

I'm not sure if Quark indexing works across an entire book. It's strange: you pick a word to index, and it can find all instances in one chapter, but not others. If you go through each chapter indexing the same word, then use Build Index at the end, it will include all chapters. I don't know why the initial searching doesn't have that option, although maybe I'm doing something wrong!
