I recently made an ASR backup of one of our servers running win2003standard. I then have an identical system in our lab to restore to, and I loaded the win2003 standard CD and kicked off the ASR restore process and it read off of the floppy and finally prompted me for the location of the backup.bkf file which i directed it to on our lab network. It found the file and tried to load it but I got the error "the backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used" I tried again with an older ASR backup file and got the same error. I doubt both files would have gotten corrupted. Any ideas? I found a lot of repair programs when I googled this topic...are they worth trying?/

thanks
