Aspect Manual

Hi, i am trying to interface a computer with a E1 card to the aspect and am having some trouble passing data from the aspect to the computer down the E1 does anyone have an aspect scripting reference manual i can take a peek at

I don't have a manual but what type of data are you trying to pass? Do you have a standard Dialogic card and using the API? Or if you are using a open source pbx like

and wanting to pass an extension or phone number back and forth then don't bother setting it up as an E&M Tie. The easiest, and in my honest opinion the best, way to do it is set the e1/t1 up as b8zs/esf DID circuit. Then when you sieze the circuit you have about 5 seconds to outpulse DTMF to be used as a DNIS. If you are wanting to pass a phone number then you can set the DNIS to 10 digits. Now one other thing to keep in mind is that if you are tying a system to the aspect locally (no LEC involved) then you need a Reversal cable on the rj45 cable that you are using to connect the 2 systems. If you still can't get the circuit to come up then your e1 card may need CO signalling. Set the Aspect side to Network in hardware admin.
