I am new to Aspect. If anyone can help.

I need procomm to auto-answer.

Then auto receive an xmodem file (the calling in unit will specify the filename i.e. 003802.dat) then rename it to 003802.odb

I need this file to be downloaded to c:\datdown

then I need to upload

c:\datup\003802.dat

or if the received file was 004094.dat then it would upload 004094.dat

Thanks

To get Procomm to autoanswer, you will need the lines:

set modem acceptcall data ON
set modem autoanswer PW

You will use the getfile and sendfile commands to download and upload. I have a couple scripts on the samples page of my site that show how to error check the transfers.

The ASPECT rename command can be used to rename the file you downloaded.
