I have been reading a front page 2000 book about the problems I have been having and it says that I need to have the check box 'Allow Scripts of programs to be run' checked. Which is part of the properties of the folder holding the website. However, it is greyed out so I cannot. What should i do?

I had the same problem, and found that I needed to change the settings in the Personal web server. The process to do it depends on what version you have. PWS version 1 is pretty simple.
