Using MS FrontPage, I have created an ASP page that is supposed to return a view of an Access query. The Access database has linked tables to a SQL SERVER 2000 database. But when I view the page on our Intranet, I get the following error on the web page:

Database Results Error
Description: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] ODBC--connection to 'PS SQL SERVER' failed.
Number: -2147467259 (0x80004005)
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

From the error I can tell it's a connection problem, but the Access database works fine from the webserver when I open it. It just doesn't work from the web page.

Thanks!!

Try creating a system temp variable. Right-click My Computer, choose Properties, Environment and add the system variables of TMP C:\TEMP TEMP C:\TEMP.

Thanks for this assistance.

I checked the temp variables and they were already there but I changed them to what you suggested and it still doesn't work.

One other idea, If I create a table in the Access database and try to create an ASP page that connects to it, the ASP page works fine. I only get the error when it tries to connect to SQL Server. But what still confuses me is if I go to the web server and open the Access database directly, I can view the data (meaning that it is making the connect to SQL Server from the database). It is not working though when I try to view the data through the web.

Thanks!
