I am trying set up an asp site on an apache server, but since ASP is only supported through Windows operating systems, I was wondering of a simple way to convert it to PHP or another language supported on apache servers. I would also need to transfer the database from SQLserver to MySQL. Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the info. I tried the program, and it seemed to work, but it did not like some of the pages, and ended up only half converting them, not even bothering to go past the point at which it got tripped up. The thing that annoyed me most is that there were no error messages!! I just assumed it had worked correctly till I looked at the source code.

will run asp on unix

asp2php is a script converter as has you have found it can only really handle simple scripts

to convert the Db, export the old one into a sql statement (some sort of dump command - take both structure and data) then simply run the sql command through some interface to load it up to mySQL ( I use phpmyadmin ) Bastien

There are many ways to skin this cat,
but it still tastes like chicken
