ASP Problem

Hi there not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but here we go. We have got a test server setup on a WinNT Server with IIS 4, and we have got a virtual website setup, this website is running ASP. When we type in the header name into the browser we get nothing it just hangs. This has been working in the past fine, just this week it has been failing. We have got other virtual sites setup but using Coldfusion as the underlying language and these are all working fine, leading me to believe that there is something wrong with ASP on the machine.

Can anyone suggest something that I can do to sort out this problem, we did get infected with nimda virus but that has now been eradicated from the system, and the IIS patches applied.

Well, when codeRed hit, we had to completely re-install IIS, even though we ran all the fixes, and everything looked ok.

We were lucky and didn't get nimda, but I'd guess it's gonna take the same thing to get rid of it.

cheers link9 that is not really the answer i wanted to hear!!!!

have done a restart on the machine and now asp is working again. the search facility that we have developed (uses index server) is still failing however. it is just hanging, it seems to do the search and get the right number of records, but then just stops processing the page and hangs. could this be all related do you think ?

Well, if everything was working fine before the infection, and now things aren't working fine...

I'd call the chances pretty darn high that it's related.
