ASP-PHP cross server integration

I have two web servers that serve pages: one IIS, with the site engine written in ASP and the other one with Apache (linux) serving FTP files and running phpbb 2.0.

Question is, how do I integrate the bulletin board into existing site layout? Let me remind you - it has to be cross-server, cross platform (ASP-PHP)integration. Is there a way to include phpbb forums on the ASP generated pages? Can it be done over TCP/IP? What are the limits?

Should I use inline frames or other methods?

Please help or point me to any resources concerning this problem.
