Good Morning all - hope you had a good weekend !

I am looking into ways of changing the security settings of a PDF file programatically.

I want to change the file so that it cannot be copied or changed - ideally setting a user and password pairing to it also.

Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Any tips or suggestions, let me know.

Simon

How about saving your PDF file into SQL or even Access database. Just pull out the necessary PDF record and use the principle that GaryC123 taught you on this thread:

Medic,

Thanks for your response.

The problem I have is that once the files leaves my control it can be copied / printed etc - what I would like to do is dynamically change the meta settings of the pdf document so that this cannot happen.

I'm not sure if this is possible. I think you can save or print any web page currently open in your browser (especially PDF).
