Hi

I have recently built a development machine for .Net development but have come to realise that .asp pages no longer work. My machine has Windows 2000 and Visual Studio .Net installed.

Every time I load a .asp page I get a 500 internal error, even a page that has no asp code in it. I have checked the virtual and the configuration of the .asp file is pointing to /system32/inetsrv/asp.dll. Are there any other setting I can check

Many thanks in advance

look at the settings in IIS... check to make sure that scripting is enabled... also, make sure on the directory where every thing is being stored...

just a couple of thoughts...

Hi Junior when you mention check to see that scripting is enabled, do you mean on teh virtual or the whole IIS server? I ckecked teh virtual and it has ASP scripting enabled.

Any other ideas?

I really need to get this one sorted as I am going mad

Cheers
