I have a asp page in my website directory but for some reason the page does not show up in the browser.

I was able to go into the Web Service Extension and set the
Active Server Pages to (allow) then I open a browser this is what I put in
http:\\drag\localstart.asp but its not working does someone know whats wrong?

IIS6 does not have ASP enabled by default.

Go into the IIS MMC (Start->Admin Tools->Internet Info Services)

Expand the icons, look for "Enable ASP" or something like that.

I forget exactly what it says, but you will figure it out pretty easily once you get in the MMC.
