ASP.NET needs to run on II5 at least (meaning you'll need to be running Windows 2000 Server), or WindowsXP Professional to serve pages. However, there is a trick. You can download Cassini, a free Web server for testing ASP.NET apps from http://www.asp.net, an also download MSDE, a free database engine that won't require you to be running Microsoft SQL Server. Good luck! Jason Upvote 0 Downvote
