Hi All,
I have a Windows 2000 machine where I have a .NET web application from which I'm trying to send emails. I'm doing everything correctly, yet the emails seem not to be sent (at least on time). The day before yesterday, I tried since the morning until around 5pm, to send emails, and got nothing. Yesterday morning, when I turned my computer on, all the emails were sent. The date and time on the emails is not when I actually sent them (the day before yesterday's), but when I turned my computer on yesterday, so I'm assuming they were sent right when I turned on my computer (one day after).

The settings I'm using are simple: I'm changing only two properties in IIS, on the Default SMPT Virtual Server (right on the Access tab).

1 - I'm setting the Authenticaion to Anonymous Access only, (no user name or password required - at least to get started). No other checkbox is checked on this property pages.
2 - I'm changing the Relay restrictions, and I'm adding "127.0.0.1". Thus, I have checked "Only the list below" and the list only contains 127.0.0.1 - the localhost.

Those are the only changes I have made on the IIS, and according to all the articles I've read online, I should be able to send emails using the appropriate .NET code. Now, like I said, I tried sending emails the day before yesterday, and they were not sent until yesterday, when I started my computer. I'm not sure what caused the dalay. Now, I've tried the whole day yesterday to send emails, and got nothing yet.

Does anyone know what may be happening?

Thanks.

JC
