ASP .NET authorization

I have installed .net beta 2 on my win2k server. I create an html file and given a hperlink to an aspx file. But when I am clicking on that link to call that aspx page. The web server is asking "you are not authorized to view this page" ACL not authorized"

"HTTP 401.3 - Access denied by ACL on resource
Internet Information Services"

Another problems is when i am working in Visual .NET 7 and wants to save my aspx page the .NET enivronment is making my scrpits in one line why?

What i do?

hey atanoli,

for the first question you had, is your aspx page in a virtual directory in your IIS? Unless you have your directory set to be a virtual directory, you won't be able to access the pages in the way you're trying. if you need further detail on this, let me know.


for your second question, I didn't really get what youy meant by "making the scripts in one line". Are you coding these pages like old school asp, or using the code behind .vb/.c# modules?
