Is is possible to write a application in ASP.NET/Windows to access a Database running in UNIX Environmnet?
sure you can. databases offer connectivity using ports. the usage of ports can be done from one platform to another. all you need is to have a user account with rights to connect to that database because from there on, the querying is done in the database's language (SQL) and is not platform dependent
