ASP.NET 1.1 & 2.0 On XP Pro IIS5.1

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a problem getting both version of .net 1.1 and 2.0 working side by side on a xp pro IIS 5.1 system. Both web applications are setup as a virtual directory under the default website. Wouldn't they both be running under the same applciation pool and not run side by side. I don't have an option to create a separate application pool. Before I spend much more time on this, does anyone know if this is even possible?

It is possible to run both frameworks side-by-side in IIS 5.1. However, you're not going to be able to share the app pool.

Thanks for the response KDavie. After running regiis_aspnet.exe -i for each version, I was able to run the apps. I'm not sure what happened but they are working now. This is not the first time regiis_aspnet.exe -i has resolved a issue for me! I have read that if you install the .net framework before IIS is installed you'll need to run the iis setup again. I didn't know the history of the box so I was working blind and this may have been the issue.
