ASP interacting with MS Word?

Is it possible to have ASP interact with Word? Say have an asp dynamically generate a word document, and then prompt the user to download the document?

Interesting. Anyone know how you can invoke certain word functions on the document? Any official writeups on this type of stuff? I'd be interested in a reference in what all you can do with this.
