Does anyone know a reason why firewalls would denying access to an ASP page displaying MS-Access records?

G

The only reaosn a firewall would block an ASP page would be if it was explicitly set up to disallow access to that page or site. The firewall does not know what the page is doing - it just has a set of access rights to sites and pages. It also uses ports, so if SSL is blocked - port 443 - then the page cannot be called if it uses SSL.

The page being blocked is a job database and I personally think some companies' firewalls are geared to disallow job searches at work!!!

Thanks for your time.

> job database

What does that mean?

> job searches at work

And that?

Just curious #-)

Yes, I had that problem when I was with a company behind a BT owned firewall as they used their hosting and internet connection. That blocked any URL with job in it anywhere...
There is no way around this unlessyou remove job from the URL if that is they way they are doing it.
