asp doesnt work anymore after php install

well, my asp pages worked fine untill i installed a php service(zend) and now none of my asp pages work. if i switch the extension to html it does work, but when i try and use the asp it doesnt. i have been looking for the last hour or 2 trying to find an answer, and i cant find anythign on it. anyone know anything about this?

If I'm not mistaken, PHP and ASP cannot both be used on the same server at the same time. In the same way that MySQL and SQL Server can't be used at the same time.


I could be wrong, but I don't think I am, I'll try to find proof for you.

I use both ASP and PHP on an IIS server with Windows XP Pro. I can't mix and match on the same page, but can mix and match ASP and PHP pages in one site.

I don't remember what all I installed with PHP, but believe it was just the basics. You may want to ask this question in the IIS forum.

i fixed the problem. for some odd reason, when php installed, it deleted the asp config file in the virtual directory. makes no sense, but thats what happened. thanks for the thoughts guys.
