Hi fellow ASP developers!
I was happily developing ASP using Visual Interdev and PWS on Windows 95 but have recently upgraded to win xp (whether that was a wise move may be considered a moot point). Does anyone know how to get a personal web server on to my (home) windows xp? I miss it. Thank you in anticipation )

PWS functions are incorporated into IIS Internet Information Server as an add-in on Microsoft versions Windows 2k and Windows XP. IIS is added either initially during the setup phase or afterwards by runing the setup dialog via the control pannels Add/Remove Programs.

Bad news logan:

Windows XP Home edition has NO, NONE, NULL, NILL support for either IIS or PWS. You have to be running XP Professional to use them.

Sorry bud,

Jack
