I have an asp form, which has a text area such as this on it. The information gets written to an access d/b on submit.
The question I have is how (if at all possible) can I set it up so that a user can attach a set of minutes to this text area which would then be saved to the d/b, does that makes sense?
Basically, is it possible to say cut and paste an attachment from mail into a webform, then save that webform to the database. Then when that record is recalled the attachment is displayed for people to view.

Thanks

Users can copy and paste from an external document (such as MS Word) into the textarea, but any formatting will be lost. The positive here would be all text is in the database and would be searchable for future reference.

Another option would be to use an <input type=file> to upload the external document to be stored on the server. This would require much more work (using an upload handler to receive the file data) to get the system running as well as make things more difficult to search later on.
