.ASP and FP extensions

If I have a .asp page, and still want to use frontpage features, ie mail the form to an email address. Is that possible?

Most features of FP should work just dandy in an .ASP page, but, in my experience, the FrontPage mail component of a form only works on HTML (.htm or .html) pages.
